New Life Baptist Church is a place of worship, service, and fellowship.
Since then, New Life Baptist enlarged the original building in May of 1979 and again in 1986 to allow for Sunday School and nursery space.
In January 2001 New Life Baptist Church called Dr. Charles Lewis as pastor. Pastor Lewis has pastored churches in Tennessee and Texas and has served with his family as missionaries in Colombia, South America for seven years.
New Life Baptist Church helps in the support of over 50 missionaries in far reaching parts of the world. Our ministries include Master Clubs for children, an active youth ministry, and the Faith Bible Institute. New Life Baptist Church was organized August 7, 1977 by Pastor Richard Rupp. The church first met in the facilities of Converse Elementary School. In December of 1978, the church began meeting at 101 North Street, where it still is today.
New Life Baptist began construction of a new auditorium in January 1987 and occupied that structure in November of that same year.
In 2019, Pastor Matt Green was called to continue the ministry of New Life Baptist Church after the retirement of Pastor Lewis.
